Introducing: Happily Lost (+ Giveaway)

Good morning. Linda here. Today is the first day of CHA, and we are super excited to share with you our entire Happily Lost line!

Whether you love getting lost in a good book, gazing out at an amazing view, or simply taking in your surroundings on a summer stroll—Happily Lost is the perfect collection to document your journeys and everyday pleasures.

It's hard to pick a fave, isn't it? I had the hardest time cutting these papers up. I couldn't decide which side to use!

And now you can also get our patterned paper in a 6"x6" pad. These are not regular sheets cut into quarters. The pattern is smaller too. Perfect for cards, mini-books, punching out shapes!

And check out these cardstock stickers: banners, journaling spots, and more. Fifty-two of them!

Something totally new this year, alpha stickers! Woohoo! And get this, it's a 12" x 12" sheet with EIGHT complete sets of alphas (upper and lower) and numbers in colors that match each of our lines! I cannot wait to get my hands on these.

hi everyone, katrina here! hope you are as excited as i am for the new lily bee releases.  i cannot wait to get my hands on the gorgeous new products this season. but for now, i'm still enjoying working with the catching fall lily bee line. i honestly never get tired of lily bee products.  there is just something about the designs and colors that are just so easy to work with.

Hey there! I know, I know, you are dying to see our entire Winter 2011 collection. All in due time. We are going to be sharing all of that really soon. Meanwhile, here is a peek of the work that will up at our booth at CHA.

a little bit more domestic bliss...

Hi Everyone,

I know you guys are dying to see the new lily bee collections in action, but I just couldn't resist sharing these layouts using the domestic bliss collection first and hopefully these would inspire you to scrapbook those collections and therefore also making more room for the new ones... **wink** Also sharing, what home is for me... a place where all the magic happens. **another wink**



For this layout... I mostly used the pattern papers from the domestic bliss collection with the exception of the orange sheet, which is from the lovely collection. Also all the stickers - labels and banners - are from the domestic bliss line and are just too too too cute to not include...



And to create the door, I used multiple chipboard window frames from maya road - misting some of the pieces, while keeping others as is. I also mixed in some chipboard flowers from the domestic bliss collection...



And one more... also using the domestic bliss and lovely collections, plus some hambly for a vintage/shabby feel (or so I was hoping). I created this layout to capture the little something that adorable hannah had created for me... isn't that bunny too too cute. thanks so much sweetie!! it was definitely wonderful to be able to meet some of DH's relative when we went back to brussels late last year.



And some close up of the details, once again layering the chipboard flowers and using only the outter rim of the die cut.

Dress Up Sign

My girls (and son- we've got dinosaur & superhero costumes!) love to play dress up. I rigged up this little dressing area for them in our play room, but the spot we have it in has this unsightly plug right above it. I wanted to make something to cover it up.

I grabbed this little unfinished sign I found at the Dollar Tree recently...

and covered it in some paper from the Domestic Bliss line.

I then ran a strip of adhesive around the back edge of the sign and roughly pleated some crepe paper around it.

So far, so good.

I wrapped baker's twine all around it, by snipping little areas in the crepe paper.

I then finished it off with a few flowers from Bella Blvd. from my stash, and chipboard embellishments & die cuts from the Domestic Bliss line. I fussy cut out the fancy girl from one of the papers for the final touch.

Pink and Polka Dots

During this time of year, as the temperatures drop and "brrr" becomes a way of life, the more important it becomes, I believe, to surround yourself with color and to infuse as much warmth and energy as you can into your layouts.  One of the perks of having Lily Bee products at the ready is that you won't need to search very far for papers and accents that pack a punch.

Lately, I've been thinking pink -- as in, bright pink, bold pink, cheerleader-on-caffeine pink -- and polka dots.  Yes, polka dots, which we all know Lily Bee does like no one else.

To create this layout, I layered Lily Bee papers in black, white, and pink, and added banners using stickers from the Domestic Bliss, Christmas Town, and Catching Fall lines.  A little tan polka dot action adds some neutrality to the mix.

The pink fixation continues on my next layout, with polka dots making an appearance once again as well.

This photo of a "Love Lasts" candy heart speaks volumes to me.  The first words that pop into my head whenever I see this photo are "I believe it," and so that became my title.  I shared some of the love with each of the Domestic Bliss patterned paper rectangles on this grid layout (which is, incidentally, one of the easiest kind of layouts to put together and one of most enjoyable to create, as each rectangle is its own little domain).

To ensure that the pink and yellow color scheme would work all the way across the layout, I added a bit of yellow paint to a few of the papers, as in the polka dot paper and the floral paper below.

I'm telling you -- the best cure for the winter blahs is COLOR, care of Lily Bee!

double double...

Hi! Ok ok I know you want to see more peeks right? Me too ok... well I actually did already and I must say you will all go crazy over the new lines!!! BUT, we still do have to wait so you have to bear with me on this one. Let's just visit the older lines of Lily Bee for now ok?

Alright, I am going to share with you a double page - yes a double pager assignment that I got from CK a few months ago. I used Lily Bee's "So Lovely" collection. I have a few handy tips that some of you may enjoy.



1. You know those lovely scallop circle chipboards? Yup, cut them in four and turn them into photo corners!


2. Rub-ons... alter them to make it fit your own story and theme!


3. Short on embellishments? Stamp on your beautiful papers and cut them out to make your own embellishments.

Have your cake and eat it too..

I have to admit that I am totally in love with the die-cut frames. They make putting together a layout super easy and so pretty! My favorite in the Domestic Bliss line is the one with the mixer on it. I knew instantly that I wanted to make a page about the birthday cake my kids made with my mom. Domestic Bliss is such a versatile line...even for us "undomesticated" people! Love it!



I'm addicted to using my vintage typewriter on my pages lately and I love how easily it was to type on the die cut papers!
