Sketch Challenge | 08.27.2012

Hello there! Melissa Mann and Amy Heller are here today with a new sketch for our Monday Sketch Challenge!

Here is the new sketch:

This sketch can be interpreted in so many different ways! Don't feel like you have to use the photos in exactly the same place as the sketch - those blocks could all be photos or they could all be pattern paper - feel fre to adapt it to work for you!

This is Melissa's take on the sketch. She followed the sketch explicitly.

Melissa's sketch is really well suited for a layout. But you can just as easily use it for cards as well. Because of all the detail in her sketch, I chose to limit my color palette to just a 2-3 colors, to simplify the design and keep the focus on the sentiment for each card. In my first card, I stuck very close to her sketch. In the 2nd card, I decided to mix things up by taking several of the square places on the right of the sketch and using one larger piece by using one of Lily Bee's Index Journaling Cards. This creates a great focal point on the card.
