It's time for Cards on Wednesday! I'm Lisa Dickinson and today I'll be continuing the mixed media theme with a fun watercolor technique.
Lily Bee supplies: Sweet Shoppe (6X6 Tiny Tablet, Letter Stickers; Chipboard Stickers; Embellishment Bundle)
To create the polka dot background, I borrowed a set of my kids' watercolor paints and used an acrylic stencil to quickly paint a rainbow on a scrap piece of white cardstock:
Once I applied all the colors, I washed off my stencil with water and let the paint dry. Then I placed the stencil back over the painted cardstock and used a black fine-tip pen to outline each of the small circles.
Then I trimmed the piece down to fit on a black card base and applied a die cut butterfly and letter stickers to finish off this simple card.
So don't be afraid to pull out some paint for your next project - it doesn't have to be complicated! We'd love to see what you create!
Love love love this!!! LOVING that background you created and loveeeeeeee the butterfly!!!
