Hi there & Happy Monday to all of you Lily Bee fans!
Today is a new week & a new focus.
Patricia & I are here today to
share a couple creations with the focus on: Family.
First up is Patricia's GORGEOUS layout.
Just LOOK at that heart & how she put
the chit chat words all around it.
I LOVE that!
Here's her layout & what she has to say:
"We just had my sister-in-law visiting. We are a
happy, thankful family, but there’s always reminders of not having both sets of
our parents and our daughter’s grandparents. It’s different, not the same, but
still good. I couldn’t help but think of the quote by Stitch from the movie
Lilo & Stitch. I made a small collage of our immediate family and close
aunts and uncle. Cut out a heart from the background Jump Rope paper, layered
the reverse side of Lime Rickey paper behind it. Then cut a larger outline of a
circle with plain cardstock. Several of the chit chat stickers went so well
with the theme, and I love the eclectic look it gives. I added some
applique-style stitching around the heart, and then filled with labels, letter
stickers and embellishments to finish it off."
Supplies:
what a heartfelt layout!
I'm sharing a layout about my family tapestry...
I wanted my layout to portray both how a quilt is like a tapestry
plus the different threads that weave together to create a family.
I believe by trimming off the edges of each of my paper strips, I
Destination (Luggage Paper, Atlas Paper, Tickets Paper, Bon Voyage Paper, Postcard Paper, Letter Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Label Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers)
Sweet Shoppe (Licorice Whip Paper, Chipboard Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers)
Pinwheel (Apricot Tree Paper, Jump Rope Paper, Label Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers)
As you can see, scrapping family can be fun, heartfelt & serious too.
It's all about YOU and YOUR family. I hope you enjoy scrapping about yours.
