Christine is up first with this gorgeous page:
Supplies: Destination Collection (Port paper, Atlas paper, Label Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers, Embellishment Bundle), Sweet Shoppe Collection (Marshmellow paper, Licorice Whip paper, Letter Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers).
Here is what Christine had to say about her project:
I created this layout for White Space Week on the Lily Bee Design blog. I'm not usually a white space scrapper, but I love looking at other people's white space layouts. And just because it's "white space" doesn't mean the background has to be white or even a solid color. I used a woodgrain polaroid paper from the Lily Bee Destination collection for my background. The cool thing about white space layouts is that they really drawn your eye to the photo.
I love that the colors of all the papers and embellishments really pop off the woodgrain background.
I used a smaller photo and clustered my papers and embellishments around the photo, leaving the rest of the layout bare with space.
I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and drew the camera onto the yellow patterned paper. Then I fussy-cut it and embellished it.
I used a Uni-ball Signo gold pen to journal onto the woodgrain paper!
For me, well... I have a very hard time lately with white space layouts - so this was a big challenge for me. I like a full page :) Here is my take:
Supplies: Autumn Spice (Cinnamon, Cream, Clove, Vanilla, Brown Sugar, Pumpkin Spice, Ginger, Cardstock stickers); Destination (Chipboard Stickers, Chit-Chat Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers, Letter Stickers ); Pinwheel (Label Stickers, Embellishment Bundle, Circle & Tag Stickers); Sweet Shoppe (Circle & Tag Stickers)
I chose to line up several different papers along the centre of my page, and layer different Lily Bee elements in behind and around my photo, like this fall banner:
If you would like to download the fall banner I used on my page - just click HERE. Enjoy!
Thanks for joinging us today on the blog - be back tomorrow for a new sketch challenge, using lots of white space!
