Hello Lily Bee Fans. Patricia here today to share with you how I used inspiration. We are working on this cat and pumpkin puzzle, which isn't an easy puzzle. But I loved the artwork and probably one of the main reasons I bought it. So I decided to use this piece to inspire the design of two cards.
Here are the cards. Can you see how the inspiration piece inspired the cards?
The original artwork is centered and down the middle. That main design was copied on both cards. On this card, the pumpkin and the cut out curlycues and leaves copy the placement of the original piece. The Black twine around the pumpkin anchors the design, just like the black grass in the original piece.
I backed the ghost with vellum so that he was see-through. Love how he came out.
Pinwheel (6x6 Tiny Tablet), Sweet Shoppe (6x6 Tiny Tablet, Strawberries & Cream Paper, Embellishment Bundle)
For the next card, the same down the center design, but I used the yellow stickers on either side of that center piece, and then the larger circle sticker at the bottom. The original inspiration has three things down the center: the cat, the pumpkin, and the black grass. The yellow stickers down the middle were inspired by that.
The sentiment three quarters of the way up, off centered a little helps to balance the card.
Destination (6x6 Tiny Tablet, Chipboard), Pinwheel (Sprinklers Paper, Label Stickers), Sweet Shoppe (Embellishment Bundle)
These cards were super quick because of the basic design of the puzzle artwork. I hope you are inspired to see the things around you and be inspired to create.
Love the cards, Patricia! Love to see what inspires projects too.
